Semester 1 Grades

Semester 1 grades will be finalized on Tuesday, January 7, 2025; therefore, nothing viewed in PowerSchool or Schoology before that date is considered a final grade.

Report cards will be sent via School Messenger to caregivers and students by Friday, January 10th. If a student earns a grade of NC (No Credit) they will need to repeat the course for credit prior to moving forward to any other course that requires credit as a prerequisite.

Course Selection for 2025-26 School Year

Current sophomores and juniors have completed course selection. Current freshmen will finalize course selection with their counselor on January 23 and 24.

Once a meeting with a counselor takes place, please review your student’s course selection in PowerSchool by navigating to Class Registration on the left side of the Parent/Guardian & Student PowerSchool navigation screen. Please visit the GCHS Course Selection page for information regarding course offerings.

Upon reviewing, if you’d like to request a level change or update to your student’s course selections for the 2025-26 school year, please complete the appropriate form linked below by Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:59pm.

  • Current 9, 10, or 11 grade student form

  • Current 8th grade form (rising freshmen)

Course registration and course change requests will reopen in August and will depend on the available space. Counselors will not take course request changes between February 3rd - August 2025.

Class of 2025 Cum Laude Information

In the pursuit of our mission, and following our important departure from sorting students using class rank, we are excited to announce a new system of recognition that honors all students who meet high expectations. Honored students excel in the areas of dedication, character, volunteerism, responsibility, pride, and excellence while earning a high G.P.A. Students recognized for this achievement at Senior Honors and Awards Night will receive a special demarcation to wear on graduation day. Students can also add their Cum Laude status to college or employment applications.
